DESCRIPTION: Dent, 61 Strand & 4 Royal Exchange, London, spring detent marine chronometer with 56-hour winding indicator, mounted in gimbaled brass tub within an attractive Macasser ebony box of modern-vintage manufacture by Ships Clock Cabinetry, reproduction signature plate to front, silvered dial of approximately 4 inch diameter, KWKS, fully capped spring detent escapement, 11J, Dent's staple balance with palladium helical hairspring, spotted damascene, s#47667 and corresponding last three digit s#667 within tub. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good winding indicator function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered small spots; dial with some scattered small spots, small bits of paint loss to several hour numerals, some mild darkening at a few portions of perimeter; near mint hands; brass tub and gimbals with some scattered scratches and small spots, tub with some finish loss around bottom perimeter, beveled glass crystal with some scratches; modern vintage box in excellent cosmetic condition.
